ODDITIES: What are your STRANGEST menopausal symptoms?

Hello, Lovely Ladies...

Throughout your menopausal journeys, more than likely, each of you has experienced some VERY STRANGE symptoms, I know I have. One year alone, I FELL five times; these anomalies came out of nowhere. I didn't misstep or trip over anything, I just FELL. I attributed the falls to: Drum Roll Puhleeze: Imbalanced Hormones! That said, that part of my menopausal journey ceased, thank GOD!! Another strange symptom I endured was the recurring of the same INTRUSIVE thoughts, which were relentless! I am slowly recovering form them! This Sugar, Honey, Ice Tea is unnerving, and wreaks HAVOC on our mental, physical, and emotional health! Having said that, what are/ what were your absolutely STRANGEST symptoms, since being in this rollercoaster of a journey?

Heaviness! Sometimes just walking i feel tremendous heaviness in my limbs. Could be the fact that I gained weight big time. I hate menopause!

Feeling faint like I'm going to pass out and anxiety. I literally have to sit quietly and take slow deep breaths to stop my heart from palpitating.

So many symptoms! Numbness and tingling, ear ringing, GI issues, fogginess, fatigue, heart palpitations. But the worst for me is all of a sudden dealing with anxiety like never before. The only thing keeping me sane is knowing that I'm not alone.

I have started falling too. I have taken some bad falls lately. I cracked the bone in my elbow. I use to have the best balance. I could balance on a high wire type balance. Now, I just fall over everything or just fall.

Anxiety that is a horror movie.

    Hi Vivian,

Not yet my most debilitating symptom, but it seems like my vision changes almost daily. One day totally fine, next day I have to blink to refocus all the time, next day it could be migraine aura... it's maddening.

    Take care, lovely.

there were so many symptoms - but the weirdest part of it all was that they were very random for me - some days I had certain ones and the next day I have different ones. or a mix of them all. I think that is what made it even harder for the Drs to diagnose. Not that they put much emphasis on treating it.
