Hi Lara,
It's the same for me, been aving the same symptoms for about four months now and I'm 25yo, have visited multiple ENTs as I thought it was something related to the throat. ENT advised me to visit Gastroenterologist to get my symptoms checked better.
I suffer to bad health anxiety and tend to always go for the worst case scenario even though it's sometimes very rare (as in this case, I've been told it is very rare to develop such cancer at my age) Nonetheless, I still have to see to believe - went privately and booked for an endoscopy, now waiting for an appointment. The thought of it, and the anxiety aren't letting me lead a normal day, so better get an endoscopy to really determine what it is and hopefully rule the cancer out.
In my opinion, you should get checked, do the test or whatever, being that anxious and keeping the thought in your mind is really unhealthy too.
Hope you'll get better. x

Anxiety is a funny thing and effects everyone differently. Often it can mimic serious health conditions and for people with anxiety that just makes it all the more worse. I don't know your health history or age, but I can tell you as someone that is also struggling with thoughts that I might have esophageal or stomach cancer, I've learned cancer is honestly quite rare. I try to remind myself that as I proceed with doctor visits and tests, and it does help some.
That being said if you have health insurance it is always smart to see a doctor if you're not feeling like yourself. If they tell you you're just anxious still request tests or to see a specialists if anything for peace of mind. Doctor visits and tests are actually always good to create baselines for comparison at future visits.
Do you have oesophageal cancer? Odds are no. But hearing that from a doctor will make you feel all the more better and god forbid something is going on, they'll be able to help!
