off balance, blurry vision, irritable, trouble concentrating

I am a 19 year old female and have had good heath my entire life. However, the past few months I have had horrible symptoms and I am not sure where to turn next. I was so dizzy and off balance for several months. I saw a neurologist who said inner ear and diagnosed me with vertigo. I never took any medication because I am allergic to so many and have a fear of medication. He also noticed that my right eye has some involuntary movement when I was asked to follow his finger. He related that to my inner ear. He said he did not think it was a brain tumor or anything, but I think it could be. I have lost all concentration and it is affecting my school work as I am in college. I am not as dizzy but a few days ago I felt like the room was spinning when I was in the shower. My brain just feels foggy and very heavy. I have been feeling like this for so long and I have no relief. I just feel like sleeping all the time. I have been very irritable and snapping at people, then I feel terrible about it. BUT I JUST FEEL SO WEIRD AND NOT MYSELF AT ALL. I used to hang out with my friends and go to the mall with my sister but I am so afraid to leave the house because of all my symptoms. I have had a lot of stress in my life because my parents have some pretty bad health issues and it has been weighing on me, but I can usually handle stress well. I think some anxiety could make it worse, but I do not think it is the main cause. The neurologist  said he would put in for an MRI of the brain but is has been 3 weeks and I have not heard anything, I will call the office on Monday. I also thought about making an eye appointment also, I think they can see tumors?

Any thoughts on what could be happening?

Symptoms: brain fog, can not concentrate, head feels heavy, ears feel full sometimes, blurry vision, irritable, sleepy all the time, off balance, just a general weird feeling in head and body.

Brain tumours are quite rare and very unlikely at your age.

You should try to take the medication as the neurologist is experienced with patients with your symptoms.

The optician is a good idea as some types of brain tumours can be spotted.

Hay my name is Ben and I'm 36.. I've been suffering something similar for nearly 3years. After consulting with an neurologist specialist ( privately), they come to the conclusion it was mal, deembarkment syndrome. Which is sea sick/ motion sickness.

I get blurred vision, brain fog, heavy head, also a weird feeling in the back of my head which is so hard to discribe, but would say it's almost like I'm on the verge of having a convolsion or an epelictic fit but without actually having it. I've had Mri, back neck and head. Blood tests, have seen Ent and neurologist. Chiropractor, after hurting my back about 5 years ago thought it might be related. Have also had 3D eye scans to check for any informality behind my eyes. I had been on cinarazine tablets for 9 months which helped but not a long term drug as it can cause Parkinson's. Amitriptyline which didn't agree with me, but was told was one of the better drugs. Then for a year and a bit was taking pizotafen. Which also worked for a short while but caused really bad fatigue, really dry mouth. I've now taken myself of all medication and feel like I have more energy, still have all my symptoms But feel better without meds.

I still suffer from visual disturbances, and this weird brain fog feeling. I cannot travel very far without having this feeling which is so upsetting having 2 young children that I cannot go on holiday or even just to the beach for the day with is so heart breaking. I've got to the point where I've giving up trying to find out what it actually is. One thing I have been reading about which is my last try is hypnosis and mindfullness. If that fails I will stay positive as hard as that is and just learn to live with it.
