Off Sertraline, but could be some caveats?

Hi All

Apologises for the long post.

I was prescribed Sertraline in May 2022, I was left in a bad way from a Ciprofloxin (antibiotic) reaction, that toxic drug really done one on me, if you ever offered it refuse, as laid me off work for 2 months. I was mainly suffering from severe fatigue, insomnia and what seemed like a tremor lightly running through my body, which made me restless ie sitting still and feeling comfortable in bed in order to drop off to sleep, just had to keep getting up to walk around.

My GP prescribed me Sertraline 50mg daily, for a minimum 6 month term with a view to coming off them in Spring 2023, over the course of the months the sleeping pattern restored, but general fatigue remained, which I just coped with and got back to work.

Last week in April, I took the decision to come off Sertraline, I liaised with my GP, who said I could stop them straight away, as on minimum dose, but monitor any withdrawal, a few days after stopping I went away to Wales for 10 days, I really enjoyed it, I felt fine, no issues at all, when back a few days in to work routine, I had my follow up phone chat with GP, I stated I felt ok, but had a couple of nights, when back of insomnia getting off to sleep, the GP gave me some sleeping advice.

Now about 2 weeks later, my energy levels feel good, better than when on Sertraline, but I am wondering if some caveats of not being on Sertraline are now shining through, mainly sleeping at night getting worse and that tremor I described above, what like minor electrical charge going through my body making me restless at night noticeable, now I am back in what call a regular environment of added pressures of work, (not being away), being off Sertraline demonstrating what areas of being on / off Sertraline was beneficial.

I shall give it more time to see how I feel, I do sometimes wonder if the supplements I am on, which are energy builders to counter act the fatigue, CO Q10, Vit B12, L Glutathione, L-carnitine, Lipoic acid to name a few, could be assisting things too much in one direction and might need to drop them?

Anyway thanks for reading.
