Oh no... Not again??

Hi... I posted quite a bit before Christmas due to the severe pain I was in for 16 weeks non stop, day in day out. Doctors guessed at costochondritis.

I woke up one morning and by dinner time realised I'd had absolutely no pain all day! This went on for the whole of the Christmas and New year period.

Over the last 3 days I have felt the tenderness in my ribs and knawing back pain starting to return, not as bad as it was before but sometimes very uncomfortable. Is this what costo does.. Comes and goes? Am I likely to be set with this for life now?

I hope you all managed to have a lovely festive period and pain didn't ruin it too much for you x

Perhaps you were more relaxed and focused on different things around the holidays. I've found stress plays a major role. Also, a full nights sleep as a HABIT is extremely important to living with this. You cant "make up" sleep by sleeping in late one or two days. its a lifestyle change. Drop everything and go to bed. It does come and go. I feel like I have bouts of it where its worse. Its a miserable condition. Stress is a killer. Do whatever it takes to rid your life of it if you have any.

Hi Emma this is what I am going through , started in February 2019 had it until about June felt much better than wham it came back by August lasted until end of September , I was so much better through to beginning January 2020 , stupid me picked up a shopping basket did not buy much than it came back had a bad day yesterday but seems better today , rule of thumb try not to lift , stretch, or bend much . I do a lot of walking and because I cant cycle now ( frightened the bike is to heavy or will fall off ) I have bought an exercise bike I just use it twice a day for 10 minutes and not push the handle bars up and down yet . I see on the internet exercises for this condition so I may gently try them .
