Oily stools

i suffer with anxiety and undiagnosed ibs ive had colonscopy and endoscopy which was clear ( last sept) i had this done as id had 16 wks of loose bowels this cleared up gradually after the colonscopy etcso things were put down to stress

then this last week ive been diagnosed with calcified heart arteries and my anxiety has ramped up .......:::: bowels has niw become loose and oily !!!!!!! this makes me paniccould this be anxiety ( i noyiced it after a fatty evenjng meal ) im terrified this is my pancreas but i get nowhere with my GP

    Hi Fiona, I had the same with loose stools for 16 weeks and like you had colonoscopy, initially was told I had diverticular disease and then was changed to IBS, currently taking Mebeverine 3 x daily 20 mins before meals, certainly has helped me, you can buy over counter from chemist but ask your doctor if he will prescribe.

    Hope they work and you get respite as I know what it is like to continuallybe running to toilet.

      thanks so much for the reply did you experience anything that looked like oil in the toilet ? not drops of oil just a film on too of the water and stools lighter in colour when my stool are firm they are normal colour

      never experienced oil on water but stools looked like there was a mucas mixed with them and again like you light in colour
