Ok peeps. At what dosage did you REALLY start to feel good?

i know everyone is different but i have been taking 37.5mg immediate release morning & evening for nearly 12 months now.

I do feel ok and better than i did but, i am such a worrier still, my mornings are the worst, i have negative thoughts. E.g... if i have a pain in my tummy, i stand there thinking oh its probably serious and i expect it will be something terminal, Its so silly, I'm busy at work, carrying on, like the rest of you no doubt.... but i do wonder if Ven is more effective at a higher dose?

There are so many people that have bad experiences with withdrawal etc, it makes me nervous about upping.

JUST WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR DOSAGE SWEET POINT... if that makes sense.

i think its all down to the individual , im on 75mg a day and have been for about 11 years , and i have my up and down months , if your a health worry such as myself , the tablets wont really stop your way of thinking just help ease the anxiety that comes with it , my suggestion is to try CBT to help with how you see and deal with issues that arise with your body , as thats what im doing and it seems to help . But if you go and see your doctor and they do decide to increase your dose to help , dont look at the negatives of that it will be harder to come off them (as this isnt the case with everyone ) look at it that your doing something positive to help yourself . hope this helps

Hi from what you say you suffer from health anxiety i wouldnt use venlafaxine to fix that by upping the dose. As suggested cbt or something like that woukd be a better way to go.

I take the max dose of 375mg it's helped me a lot but I still struggle at times with depression, anxiety and intrusive thoughts. I guess the meds can only do so much, mine pulled me out of a black hole but the rest I have to work on myself. I also take 45mg of mirtazapine at night.
