Okay, lol.

This is my 50 millionth time posting in this forum, but all the feedback I've gotten has been helpful. After trying the antibiotics again, and it clearing up, I got a yeast infection. I cleared the YI up by inserting one acidophilus pill twice a day for 5 days. Stopped the thick, clumpy white discharge, but not the itch. Soon after, my discharge was clear. And Wednesday afternoon, I wiped yellow discharge again along with the clear. That's the yellowest it's been since then. After that, it's only been a mixture of clear, off-white, borderline yellow (but not extremely). I was for sure SURE that my BV came back. Just to test and see, I bought the Monistat vaginal health test kit to make sure everything was off like I thought it was (if that makes sense). And when the test senses abnormal discharge, the end of the stick is supposed to turn green or blue. If they don't sense anything, it stays yellow. I did the damn test twice: Wednesday when I came home and just now after I got out of the shower. Both of those times, the end of sticks stayed yellow. Confused is an understatement. Can my pH level be normal with BV? Is it something else? Idk. I'm having slight cramps. And of course, the itch. The discharge doesn't smell. Neither does my vagina. The same BV symptoms I've had before. But I'm also aware that those symptoms (the discharge color not included) are similar to YI. I'm tired of my gyno. She hasn't been doing a thing for me. I was thinking about going to my primary to get some blood work done to see what's up, but I'm confused.

I also want to mention that I take daily vitamins with 400 mcg of folic acid. I also take another 400 mcg supplement along with that. Andddd I take probiotics (25 bill). And I just started drinking way more water than usual (a 66.9 oz bottle of water a day since Monday). Help.

I've had BV. For over 3 years finally I'm over the nasty horrible smell and discharge.

My doctor gave me a cream insert it in then a few days later take one pill a week for 12 weeks,

Metronidazole 500 mg. The cream was one time. And Now one month later I'm doing great. Good luck. Nothing else has worked for me until now.

Idk if this is helpful but I use boric acid pills and it really works. Or you can try vitamin c with rosehip pills and insert them vaginally

I've never tried rosehip vaginally but today I took one orally. Maybe that will work better. Right now I'm using boric acid capsules.

I'be heard of boric acid capsules, but how safe they? I just wanna find a same remedy to keep my vagina in check without harming anything. I've also tried the Vitamin C. Didn't do much except change the color of my discharge, made me spot, got rid of the smell. But it still itched, and burned like hell.

    Hi Jayy

I am also a fellow sufferer of BV and YI, more YI than BV but they can come at the same time so, basically just an inflamed lady part. I have tried every cream/gel/capsule/pessary/oral/vaginal remedies there are to offer where I live, and nothing the doctors prescribed was working. Then i used boric acid (which I had to buy from Japan where they use it for eye wash) and it cleared it up for a few months, now it came back but at a lesser extent, the itching was gone just the discharge is left. I would recommend trying boric acid. I used it for 7 days straight during th initial infection, and twice a week after that for maintenance. So far its much more mangageable than monistat or metronidazole gel, the only thing that comes out is clear watery discharge which is somewhat better than white yellowish clumpy ones. Pls also remember to change your life habits, such as sleeping before midnight, exercise, and try to eat as little sweets as you can. We are all in this together!! My battle has not ended yet and there is light at the end of the tunnel!
