Olanzapine long-term effects

About 10 years ago, I was forced to take olanzapine for supposed post-partum psychosis (a diagnosis which I dispute to this day, but anyway...). I had to take 20 mg a day for six months. Then was allowed to stop. Ever since, I've been really ill with a long list of maladies. Formerly highly energetic and healthy. Debilitating insomnia and fatigue, extreme weakness --especially in hands, crawling feeling in legs and neck -- tingles, itches, extreme abdominal swelling, heart irregularities, etc., etc. Also confusion, aggressiveness, antisocial tendencies, low libido, etc., etc. Not to mention extreme weight gain. All these are known side effects. But all these occurred LONG AFTER I had discontinued use of the drug. And continue today --10 years on. Has anyone else had this experience ... years later?

    Hello,

I have not taken this medicine but was considering it because of having derealization.  After reading some of the side effects and reviews, it's scared me to stay away from it.  I hope you start to get better.  Have you talked to your doctor about these symptoms lingering or have you seen a neurologist for help?
