Was on olanzapine for a total of 2 months....2.5 then to 5...the last week I tapered down back to 2.5 them cut cold turkey. Body aches. And cold then hot..tossing and turning in sleep. Stopped only cause my doctor said they could not perscribe it so switching doctor's. Any good alternative? I'm having weight gain but olanzapine was very effective for me. Any suggestions

hi there love. i got off of olanzapine sucessfully. i got away with a swollen lympth node and that was after
17 years of being on it. so don't do it cold turkey. make sure you have good information love you good luck cheers

You will get different opinions, but being off them for about 4 months now, I am feeling much better and much closer to full recovery and feeling much better than when I was on them and during the hardest part of withdrawal (1st 2 months).
I posted some of my success story here. Hope it helps.
