Olenzapine cold turkey withdrawal

Hello,

my psych gave me Olanzapine 5mg as a mood stabilizer two years ago.

I was never told it is addictive or harmful!

I was very naive believing him.

I was taking it for 6 months and then quit cold turkey - no problems back then.

Several months later again 2 months of Olanzapine followed by successful cold turkey.

I was taking it again October, November and December last year.

Then I did cold turkey again. Did not think much about it based on my previous experiences.

So now I'm 6 weeks into my withdrawal. Severe sleeping problems started about 4 weeks after cessation.

I fall asleep and wake up after 40 minutes. Then very shallow sleep.

And a very strange phenomenon: whenever it seems my brain is on the verge of falling asleep a little jolt in my head and I'm woken again.

Not sure whether I should persevere.

I'm afraid my brain has been damaged by Olanzapine.

Has anybody experienced this?
