Omeprazole and Hot flushes??

Hi everyone,

I’ve been on and off Omeprazole since February with what I can only assume is gastric reflux.

No Doctor has actually given me that diagnosis, but reading everyone else’s accounts of their symptoms I’m pretty sure that is the problem.

I don’t really want to take Omeprazole but each time I stop taking it I start getting heartburn. However, I’ve been having 2-3 hot flushes each day just lately as well as noticing that my voice is a little bit gruff. I want to come off Omeprazole and try to replace it with yoghurts.        (? Probiotics) and apple cider vinegar but I’m still getting back ache between my shoulder blades so I shall see if the Doctor will give me an alternative to Omeprazole to see if it is causing my hot flushes.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

I’d be really grateful for any feedback. Thank you

hi jane. sorry bout ur situatio but i also have symptoms like you. those hotflushes are my concern coz im a male. i have my testostetone tested 6x and they are all normal in results. am wondering if the omeprazole/lansoprazole are the ones doing them. the pains are all over from head to lower back, both shoulders, ribs, etc. have tried stopping ppis but the rebound is horrible. btw, i was diagnosed with a large hiatal hernia thru upper gi endoscopy last 2015.
