On 10mg citalopram for 17 months. When I take it in the morning, I can't get up until afternoon.

I have been on 10mg citalopram for 17 months. Recently when I take it first thing in the morning, I crash and can't get up until afternoon. I am lying down, but I can't sleep. I have anxiety. I just breathe heavy and sometimes tremble. This is every morning. Help.

I've been on it for more than a year, so why is it so bad and getting worse?

Is it time for me to get off the citalopram?

Or is it something else? Am I just getting worse in anxiety?

I am 49 year old male.

Hi, have you been like this for the 17 months or only recently ?

10mg is pretty low, so maybe you need to go to 20mg, you should call you doctor and explain what is going on.
