hey if you can read some of my posts you can see how horrible it was for me with the side effects and blips all the way to week 18. got so much better after that and now having a blip again and almost 6 months in. but it's okay I think its triggered with all the recent events , hormones and also should have not drank yesterday. just keep going I know docs say 6 to 8 weeks but it takes way longer to settle and even 4 months is still early for some people.

Forgot to ask u if u get them how many days do they last
katecogs told me they can last 5 or 10 days or even longer
so I hope they go soon , scared and anxiety up because of thoughts of something wrong with me or going backwards

Think mornings seem worst for most people. Apparently citalopram contains anti histamine which tends dry the sinus cavities I'm getting bad sinus pain and seem have constant headache. Paracetemol really hard get here now as well. Dont know how restricted you are there but maybe current situation not helping. Only meant go out for food, medicine here, and exercise once day. No social contact even with family is making the stress level worse as no distractions from anxiety and food getting difficult to get.

Havent been on it long enough to get blips just wish would start working. Don't think will improve much until severe restrictions ease here. You wouldn't be able look after grandkids here, no social contact only shops open supermarkets and chemist. No social contact or having any distrations making things worse. Virtually impossible get on line food delivery, get frustrated keep getting announcements to stay home but have go out get food. Make most of it while you can still have social contact!

I'm in the UK not great but meds levelling things out bit got skype appt with therapist tonight. You wouldn't be able to see your grandkids over here can onlyl have contact with family you live with. Does sound like Trump finally restricting things a bit so make the most of it while you can. No social contact making things hard as no distractions. How are you doing.

Still getting intrusive thoughts tried see if others have responded to meds therapy but no one bothered to reply. Think has settled little bit. Current situation not helping when you cant see anyone and restricted to what you can do. Think the citalopram is settling me bit the sertraline was ghastly made me feel worse. zHow are you doing?

hey babsyboo,
I havent been on as long as you have, but I've seen some pretty dramatic improvements since when I started. That being said I have had several highs and lows with some pretty severe lows.
I get a ton of side effects from the meds. At least that's what I believe they are. My throat feels dry and sore quite often. I get all sorts of little abdominal aches and pains. My bathroom habits have been all over the map as well.
My mind has taken all these side effects and it makes me believe I have every form of cancer a human can get at times.
I would say everything you're experiencing is relatively normal. I can remember one of my blips lasting well beyond a week. Maybe even 2 weeks.
Hang in there. I tried some breathing and meditation techniques out of desperation. 4 months ago I would have said they were stupid, but believe it or not they helped me substantially.
Best wishes,
Randall
