    Hi Gemma.

It's normal to have these feelings with Citalopram, even after 3 months. I had the same with funny sensations in my head. It should pass with time.

3 months is early still. That’s often when things start happening. Recovery length is different for all but generally it is many months. Sometime, we get frustrated about our situation and it's normal... we would like to be ok earlier.... but the med is working slowly... a lot of peoples in this forum has experienced this long process...

How many mg are you taking?

    Stay safe

    Hi Gemma,

I was on 20mg for 10 weeks and then was increased to 40mg which ive now been on for a month. The first week I increased my dose I felt worse but it seems to have settled now and it was definitely the best decision to increase. If you feel you need more then worth having the call to your GP and get their advice if you can. sending best wishes to you.

I spoke to my GP today because at 3 weeks I was still finding every minute unbearable (depression). I was aware that there is huge variability in how long it starts to slowly work (NHS website says 2 weeks, I'd be so lucky). I cant think of anything clever to say about you still having bad days except I know to tell someone how bad it is sometimes helps me. It would be trite to say 'well you maybe had more bad days before than now) because that is like saying 'well, now you only sometimes have someone pull a fingernail out'. Just, to say, rooting for you.
