on diazapam for tapering off zopiclone

hi all i hope u are all as well as you can be! i am on diazapam for tapering off zopiclone.. diazapam are give me my life back im doing things i couldnt before and its given me my life back and depression as gone.. would the doctor understand if i seen them about this help

    Hi Julie,

    Not sure, what your doc will say, but I assume will go over withdrawal dosage with you. And support your efforts. It is a tedious drug to come off. It's so great that you feel it's working well, as that is what matters most. I too take an occasional zopiclone for the last 3 years when I go through periods of very bad sleep. I have wanted to seek out alternative meds to help with my sleep issues, but lack motivation. Think I should take a leaf out of your book!

      hi sarah thanks for replying. i havent had zopiclone for 3/4 weeks now since been on diazapam. the doctor put me on the aston plan using diazapam to get me off zopiclone. but i love how diazapam as helped me get my life back! so want to ask the gp to allow me to stay on diazapam but worried he wont allow it if i can help i will hun x

      He may be reluctant due to the addictive qualaties.  But hey you can at least ask, i realsise this is an old post so you prob have it sorted by now, pls let me no how you went.  Im in Australia.  GOOD LUCK.  Nicola
