Is possible that you damaged some blood vessels in your ear, possibly causing infection. Pain would suggest infection is still about or maybe a rupture in the Drum which could occur during labour? It's a tough one, are you going to an ENT specialist or to a GP?

When you go to ENT, they may use a Micro Vacuum to clean your ear to get a better look. Is you have dammaged the inner Ear, this could be a little bit painful. I would suggest taking a couple of pain killers before you go. They may not have to do this, they may see the problem straight away. I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like you have damaged your ear and it's not healng due to infection, you control the infection, still not healed, infection comes back. If it is glue ear, (which usually only lasts a few Months not a Year?) they will try to unblock the tube going from the Ear to throat. Either way, ENT should give you an answer there and then. Did they ever perscribe you Penicillin and/or any form of steroid?

Sounds a lot like your glands are swollen. This could be a good sign as your lymph nodes often swell and feel tender when fighting a virus. If you do have a Virus, there is not to much you can do about it and it should be gone on it's own by a couple of Weeks, max. This would explain a number of your symptoms including Ear ache, sore throat and dizziness. This could also be the source of your Anxiety. If you are finding it uncomfortable/painfull when you swallow, I would say this is the case. Did it feel worse after you had your Ears Syringed?

Ask them to take a swab if they have not done so already. I hope you get it sorted. It gets very frustraiting when it's painful and affects your hearing, more so when you have little ones. Sometimes a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel helps when you lie your ear on it.
