On HRT and 2 periods in 2 weeks?

Is this normal ? Only been on HRT 2 weeks and first week got my period which seemed normal and then a week later it’s come again ?

    I think that's just everything settling in, I had the same with bhrt 2 weeks apart and I wasn't expecting anything at all and the dose was set to avoid any monthly periods. Out of the 3 plus months I've been on them, it's only happened twice and seems to have settled. Nothing to worry about at this stage I don't think.... Just hormones getting their act together smile xx

      Thank you Sassy . Yes thought this may happen . Going to stick with it for now .. I’m not jumping for joy yet on this patch but hopefully something will turn around soon and can get back to my normal self . Wish sometimes I could turn the clock back as I miss  the old me ... 😪

      I get it Lori, I know you've struggled to find the right treatment for you but look how far you've come . When I first joined the forum you were absolutely shattered and desperate on bhrt and this week you've given a much more positive update on hrt.... You're getting there and you're doing so well. Go easy on yourself, the old Lori will emerge! smile xxxx

    That happened to a friend of mine. She had nothing for 8 months prior to hrt and then suddenly she had a few horrible periods. After a few months it all settled down for her and she no longer has a monthly bleed

      Thanks for confirming that as was getting a bit worried ... hopefully it levels out soon. Can’t wait to feel myself again .... boy this is a rollercoaster ride !

    Hi there, 

    I've tried 3 different HRT's now and every time I get odd cycles at first - my period kinda' comes too soon. 

    Just started on my 14 days of a new progesterone and have started spotting after a week... hoping it'll settle.

    Hope you settle too, hang in there, my doc told me it takes at least 3 to 6 months to sometimes feel the benefit.. I'm still trying to sort a progesterone that suits me!

      Yes I’ve felt a bit better but you don’t know the full effect when you keep getting your cycle as that in itself makes you tired etc  . I tried the BHRT but did nothing for me ... the patch seems to work better. And yes most people say 3 months to feel the benefit seems too long when you just want your life back !

      Totally agree... I'm so fed up at the mo. On my 3rd trial of progesterone and feel crap! 😢

      I just hope it settles.

      I know ! That feeling of well-being has just gone ... poof! I never used to get lonely or depressed but now I feel like the magic ?🌟💫 I once had for life has Disappeared. Feel like I’m in jail just waiting to be released .
