I was wondering what other peoples experience has been like trying to get off this drug.

How did you get off it completely and how were your withdrawal symptoms as well.

    Hi cashew,

I am currently going off olanzapine I was at 7.5 mg. then to 5 mg now I am at 3.75mg..It is not easy but I also take gabapentin  to help me sleep. I think tapering is the best way to go.give your brain a chance to adapt to the changes in the med.  Hope this helps.

I came off zyprexa cold turkey after 3 months of being on them (30 mg to 10 mg).  It was hard as hell but I am glad that is the route I went as now being over 4 months off them I am feeling much much better.

i wrote another thread where I give more details on how I did it.

I hope you are feeling better now Cashew.

    love, peace, hope..
