on sertraline, broke my foot and am in hospital and scared

so been on sertraline for 7 months now , been doing well, back at work . but Saturday night I went on a segway fell off and broke my foot, anxiety not too bad, but I may need an operation? I'm scared my anxiety may come back and scared if I get put under general anaesthetic that it will affect the sertraline?

any help advise will be much appreciated. xx

    So sorry for what happened to u and don't worry just tell the doc in the hospital about what you take and the dose of it , they will sure consider it and deal with alternatives .

    My advice to u is whenever you feel scared or anxious try to breath deeply and it's going to be ok never worry . Hope you get well soon .

      That's what I do. I had a small panick attack this morning! ! but got it controlled quite quickly. but you know what it's like when you have a panick attack, you panick as to why you having it.

    You will be fine, bones mend and anaesthetic mixes fine with sertraline. Stop thinking too much and concentrate on breathing 😀

    Lattifa i hope you are doing well. I am so sorry to hear of all of this. But stay strong, you will be fine. If you overthink it you will only create more anxiety. Please keep us posted. Ill keep you in my prayers.

      thank you hun, means a lot, well they say I can get home now and come back next week. I just don't want all the anxiety or depression to come back. any of you who know me from this forum, I'm always outside walking active ect , every single day. now not being able to go out sat going to be hard for me.

      For these next few days do you have any benzos that can help you if you get overly anxious? That could be something you could talk to the doctors about while you are still there.
