On sertraline for 2 months now, 1 month on 100mg and I feel worse

I'm 22 year old female and I started on sertraline in October. Its my first time getting medication for my anxiety and depression. I was told to take 50mg every day for the first two weeks then 100mg for the last 2 weeks of the month and come back to my doctor . The side effects where awful I had no appetite, constantly felt nauseous and my anxiety was really bad. Now two months in and still on 100mg, my sleep is the worst thing being affected. I always had trouble sleeping but now I find it near impossible to get to sleep my anxiety is so bad and I've slept through my alarms for work so many times this month I now have about 10 alarms on the highest volume set hoping I wake up to atleast one of them. Another thing I noticed is that my memory seems to be affected. I will start to have a conversation with someone and they have to remind me I have already had that conversation 10 minutes prior. I don't know if I should wait this out or ask to change medication as it is my final year of college I'm so afraid to mess with my head even more. Any help or advice would be really appreciated 😔😔 also a side question, I was always a lightweight but since starting my medication I've become a lot worse just wondering if the medication is affecting this or can I just not handle alcohol 😬

Emily try to hang in if you can. My daughter was on this medication at age 25 - she also had a lot of trouble sleeping. It must be really hard if you're in school. BUT, if you really need to kick the anxiety/depression, you should, if you can, try to stay on the meds. It took my daughter 12 weeks to really feel the effects and start returning to her normal self. She went up to 150 towards the end of the 12 weeks it took. She was then able to taper off. It's been a year and she is 100% back to her old self. Give it at least another month if you can. Obviously consult your doctor too - and if you can get therapy, that really helped my daughter too.
