On Week 9 of Swrtraline, need hope

hi there, I have been on Zoloft in the past and it worked really well.
this time i am on a higher dose and it feels like I am not going to get better. Its been 9 weeks in total the first 8 weeks on 50 and the last week I have upped to 150
Is there anyone else out there that it took a long time to reach a therapeutic dose?
Any positive stories would be really helpful

hi!
i just hit the 6 week mark a few days ago ( on 50mg) and the first week was hell for me but i do feel like my anxiety has gotten much much better its just the depression that has hit a stand still it seems like. I think what would help me is to remember that you did just up your dose substantially and unfortunately the side effects will come back for a period of time (everyone is different with how long they will last as well! dont forget and keep hope). Those side effects really can trick you that youre never going to get better and the fact that the medication is slow to kick in doesnt help with that either because its more of a gradual process that sometimes feels like its not linear but the main thing is you are trying and are feeling better at least in some moments! That is a positive to cling onto! Are you doing cognitive therapy as well by chance? Thats always an option too. Remember that there are so many options and combinations to reach the end goal you want too, I promise this feeling youre feeling now isnt permanent no matter how long it lasts. I know this is so hard and im going through it too but we will make it, keep the faith and keep fighting! I have yet for anyone to reach back out to me on these forums but it really does help just even reading these things to know that you are not alone. Hope today is a good day for you.
