One 10 mg escitalopram made me feel horrible. Should I stop taking it?

Last night I got brave and took my first 10mg does of escitalopram. At first i didn't notice much. I had trouble sleeping then around 3 am my heart started to race and burning feelings like waves of burn went through my body for several minutes...i started do sweat horribly and freak out. This morning had upset stomach dry mouth and felt weird...like hot and cold sensations. Started gagging like I was gonna throw up...this is the worst ive ever felt and I dont think it is worth it I might try therapy instead. Is it safe to stop taking after 1 dose? anyone else have similar side effects?

I'm like scarred for life now. I hated that burning feeling. I was wet with sweat like I had literally been set on fire... don't wanna risk that happening again.. may try 5 mg though Idk yet.

    Hi Chelsea

I am a long time sufferer with anxiety and I too felt worse taking tablets.

I now take the amino acids GABA and L theanine and they work far better.

You can't overdose on them and there are no side effects and they work immediately so no build up required as is the case with prescription drugs. My husband suffers from depression and he is completely better.

Hope you feel an improvement quickly
