One down, two to go!

I'm back from the doctors and he's renewed my sick note - it's great to have such an understanding doctor.

That's the easy one over with now I have to concentrate on the job interview tomorrow morning.

Please send good vibes my way between 11.30 and 12.30 tomorrow morning (Wed 5).

That's excellent news Hilary - Thank you.

Would it be ok for us to set one of our own up while we wait?

If I am sleeping? Melbi, you wonderful human being, I can't remember the last time I was actually sleeping. I mean, I drift off but the song hasn't finished and I'm back. Drives me nuts.

I am making inroads into the problem, but mostly it's chemical induced and not restful. Thank you for your concern. You deserve the best life has to offer. xx[/i]

    Hi Melbi

I'm not quite sure how you would propose to set up your own chat room because it's functionality that needs to be set up on the server that runs patient uk experience.

Maybe you thought it was just a case of starting a new experience thread called 'chat room'?

You can of course PM/e-mail other registered members but then you may exclude other interested parties from your chat.

You could also set up your own forum on eg yahoo groups but I wouldn't be able to explain how you'd do that as I don't know myself.

Hi Melbi, I've been back to You Tube. Maybe I have Beta, not Alpha, brainwaves?! I think I'd like you to sing me to sleep!

I'm amazed at this forum. It's like instant penpals, but moreso!

At some point I'm going to sleep.

Look after you, Melbi, and remember that your own happiness will spread to your kids and their kids. xx

I was more thinking of setting up a temporary room at - well I forgot what it;s called at this moment in time - ermmmm oh it will come to me.

Anyway, set the room up and add a link here?

Providing enough people have access to the hammer (ability to silence or remove offensive posters I can't see it being a problem.

    What do you think?

Will try and remember name of the place where you can set up chatrooms

    Hi Guys & Gals

Having read all your postings, I have been thinking whether we can set you up a separate area under the General Medical area. As Hilary said, it would be a shame for other people not to read your postings & conversations.

I am currently on Sertraline but depression is depression whatever the medication, so maybe we should chose an appropriate title where other people with depression could join in. Talking works for some people, reading works for others, once they get to know the group, then perhaps they will want to contribute - what do you think? Or if you rather we keep it just to Citalopram?

This would only be an interim arrangement until the Patient Chatroom is up and running.

Please let me know what you think and if you want, I will try and sort it out in the morning.

    Regards

Excellent idea Lin and guess what? I have just created a room - I shall email you the link and you can sort out how best to organise a link.

I think it should be called something that covers depression and not just citalopram at this moment in time I have jst called the chatroom ... chatroom

Maybe some here could come and try it out with me an d see if it works?

It is a private room so they would have to get the link from patient uk or from someone who already chats their - I mean it isnt splattered all over the web for any one to waltz in.
