Unfortunately hospitals are one of the dirtiest places there is. Staff not following protocol. They should be able to get rid of it with antibiotics.

    John,

if you had listened to keneth1955, you would never had a Turp. So, now you suffer consequences.

Just joking. You did right thing and you should see improvement very soon.

Hi John, i did not realise that i suffered from "mini" uti`s, from my TURP op 3 yrs ago, on a fairly regular basis, until 12 months ago, and today i have just had another 2 days of irratation!! i feel it has to be UTI`s because nothing else fits the bill, constany urges to  pee, and a full bladder feeling. ..to be fair there is no pain and apart from some mental disquiet, i carry on, also hot weather plays apart===dehydration...i an very active(69) cycle hundred`s of miles and probably do not drink enough!! so every so often this crops up. it is getting less and less, but i think we all are likely to suffer from this!!  early days for you, and it was a massive UTI that got  my prostate rebored!!! eventually it will clear, i think it depends on the individual...all the remedfies are suggested>>drink loads of water,  Cranberries and the juice, all types of herbs, Garlic chewed!!  lemon juice in water etc etc... rehydration tablets... i guess its worth trying them all!! i guess also antibiotics ( i am not keen on this). i do use urine test strips to check my body acidity, and i am always acidy when the discomfort arrives!! a URINE TEST NO LONGER DISPLAYS ANY INFECTION, but to me it is happening, but as i say the length of the feeling is diminishing to days only!! so keep positive! regards Syd
