One more LS'er

Posted , 9 users are following.

so now I am posting as well. God, I wish I didnt have to!

LS - yep that's me. Clitoris half there - it takes an enourmous time to get a clitoral orgasm now - with myself or partner. Sorry for details, but Im sure Im  not alone.

I just want to know - once its half gone/fused - can the clitoris really come back to "normal" by using the soda baths/surgery etc?

Im using the Dermol cream twice a day and also Hope's remedy twice a day. The white is s l o w l y dissapearing, as well as the clitoris I may add.

God, Im not finished having sex yet!

The purpose of using soda is to neutralize the area of urine after a loo visit. So it helps to keep clean and also it helps to keep the itch down but you do need to use some kind of lubricant - any kind - whatever works for you. Personally I use coconut oil. I have very little fusing now but sadly the clitorus is still in hiding.  Sex does not need to end.  keep at it, it is healthy for you

Try retracting the cliteral hood while in the bath - to inhibit the fusing- can be uncomfortable so do it with care - plenty of moisutiser as well- how about a mini vibrator to speed things up a tad?

    Good Luck

Yeah the fusing over the clitoris can happen sort of relentlessly. I think it had begun for me during perimenopause. Orgasm required more friction, which caused more yeast infections and LS flares. If I had known what I know now, for one thing I'd slow down and figure out how to have a frictionless orgasm. I might still be in that relationship if I hadn't just given up on sex with him. Then after a couple of years of celibacy I noticed The hood was starting to cover my clitoris. Idiotically, not yet diafgnosed with LS, I figured I needed to soap and scrub more. Big Mistake.

Then when I gave up the celibacy I went back to my old high-friction habits and caused no end of flare-ups.

Listen to Sue. Learn a new more subtle way to get off and then teach it to him. I guarantee he'll prefer it to celibacy.

After my experience un-adhering a fold on the rear edge of my vagina, and also after the dilation procedure Hanny recovered from, I believe Sue's right. Do some stretching. If it tears a tiny bit, that's what undoing fusing consists of. Then you have to watch it like a hawk, using your ointment more frequently and lots of barrier – in summer Vaseline stays put better than liquefying coconut oil.

Now this is a conversation I really want to have!

Appreciate the contributions so far, hope there will be more. Sue are you saying that you reckon the clitoris can be 'saved'? I seem to have lost my inner labia, the minora, but clitoris is still around somewhere. I'd kind of lost interest in sex altogether but this conversation has inspired me! Thanks lenep for raising it. What is hope's remedy by the way?

Hey again,  as much as i love reading all the answers and good acvice, I do harte the fact I have to. I guess I have to get over it really.

      Her's the blur for Hope's relief :

I had gone to the shop to get some phyto oestrogen, but came home with this instead. The shop assistant ahd said another woman (that week!) had bought and swore by it. As I said,i dont have any itching etc, just no bloddy clitoris.! Feel my frustation.

Husband away for a wekk, so will probably get the dildo solution a go. smile

Dont have the bath, so not sure if Ill fit into a bucket for the baking soda soak.

Also, all the people that use other natural ointments, are you still using steroid creams or dont bother - or is this more to keep it at bay.? I do love reading all the replies. Makes me feel better. smile

Just go   to a craft store and buy a small 3" spray bottle. fill with water and

3 pinches of baking soda.  keep in your bathroom and spray after each loo visit. I use organic coconut oil and rarely need any steroid cream but I do keep it handy.

There sitzbath that go over the toilet lenep.  I'm using one when away from home with RVing.  Small amount of baking soda and some drops of Manuka oil helps me through the extreme hot days.

How is it working with the Hope's Relief?  What are you using it for?  My inner labia is almost gone, surely it can't bring the back.  I still have my clitoris and dont have any itching or white plaques just the loss of parts.

We sound alike April.  Now that my swelling has gone down I found that my inner labia is almost flat.  I guess its fused with the sides.  I still have my clitoris.  Wow.  This happened fast for me, I was just diagnosed 5 weeks ago with no other symptoms.  I'm applying the clob 2x a day but I dont have a lot of hope at this point.

      What happens next?

Do we need the inner labia?

I think this happens to a lot of us. For twenty years I watched my clitoral hood and never noticed the loss of architecture. Someone talked here about feeling exposed, not having labia closing over the introitus. It's kind of like being a mouth breather and a good reason to moisturize diligently.

Heya Sara, I think its goiung ok,- not sure it works better/worse than the the Dermol though- it's just the worry of the skin thinning- as if we dont have enough to worry about! smile

I have my doubts if anything will bring anything back. This sucks! I have half a clitoris I think -one side is certainly a lot smaller than the other. The whitish part seems to have fainted a little bit. When people talk about flare ups, I think they talk about itching etc, which I dont have either, so not really sure wheniif to stop using the cream. Im determined to not let it ruin my sex life. Somehow.

We're to keep using clob twice a week, permanently. That's the idea - maintenance, not temporary symptom relief. We get flares now and then, but if you quit the drug completely, eventually a really bad flare will happen.
