One more question...

I have 1 additional question about hemorrhoids. Do any of you have a lot of mucus with hems when you have a BM? I usually don't have blood, once in great while I have a tiny amt of blood. This morning I had some bloody mucus surrounding my hard stool. ( constipated again) It looked like it surrounded the stool but in the stool. My stool was the usual color, not dark or anything. I will say I eat a lot of popcorn! Which I don't think my colon likes!

Thank you!

Yep, I had a load of mucus coming out, every day even when my hems weren't prolapsing. Always coated every BM too. 😟

Thank you! It is giving me some hope that maybe, just maybe what I am having is hems not rectal prolapse! I am going to a GASTRO doctor after Christmas!

Had this too and freaked out. It's a sign that your internal hems are infected.

Thank you ! My regular GP said I had big purplish hems! so I am sure they are probably infected! 😦

The mucus is present in the bowel all the time. I can assure you it does not mean they are infected. I've seen the consultant and he said the mucus was coming out because my hems were prolapsing. Mine were not infected. The reason they are purple in colour is because they are full of blood. Veins in your hand look blue but your blood certainly isn't.......well I hope not 😂😂😂

Thanks!! Yes, I do have the mucus ALL the time. but usually not the blood. I will have the mucus and my hems won't even be acting up!

I am just hoping and praying that its just hems and not the prolapse! There is one person on this forum that posted about 2 years ago, and she posted a picture of her hemorrhoids. They look like mine so I am really hoping! 😃
