One sided symtoms

All my problems seem to be right sided, anyone else experienced one sided fibro? Not been diagnosed but all the symptoms on the right side fit the profile but seems unlikely it would be only one sided. Thanks.

There are 18 tender points throughout the body. All match up on the left and right sides. We may not have all 18 but if there is a tender point on the right side another will be in the same location on the left. It is unknown why tender points are small thumb size painful spots just under the skin or why they are in the same locations on the right and left side but every fibro sufferer has the tender points in the same locations. You can research tender points to find diagrams. It does seem unlikely that you could have them on only one side. Possibly the tender points on your left side are not as painful or you may not be locating the exact spot.

Hi Louise, Yes i can relate to it being all on right side. Up until now all my pain has been on right side, but now it has started on left side. Everything from neck to foot was on right side. Hope this helped. From Josephine.

    Hi Louise

My pains were on my right side of body from head to toes when my Fibro problems started before diagnosis. I thought i was having a stroke then. Ended up in A&E and ECG came back normal. It carried on for a while then moved to other sides of my body. The pain was mostly on my shoulder, neck and legs.

Get your doctor to carry out tests to rule out other medical problems.

Hi tbay, That sounds like me, i thought of a stroke. I have had those tests and mine came back normal as well. The pain in shoulder, neck and collar bone is really bad. Had steroid injection but still made no effect. From Josephine.

Hiya Louise, please get a diagnoses from a Rhumatologyst, there the drs that diagnose most of us., once diagnosed you will feel better to know what it is and this blog has many many people with Fibro-who have many stories that can help, like noahsnan said we all have very different symptoms, some we all get different ones, some get some that are the same and others get different ones, be blessed and have a lovely day😍😍
