My plain x-ray shows the sponge that was used for the bmp in the cage and black area around it, looks the same as it did at 6m. I have pain every day 5-6 level at times it is not do bad but I also get burning in my right thigh that comes and goes see the surgeon on 7/6 I have a feeling that the fusion is not doing to good the first thing this doctor does is look for a halo around the screws seems that is all he looks for but i am tired of not knowing the cause for the pain

Going in for EP tests tomorrow followed by EMG tests, one is nerve and the other muscle, I hope this gives me some answers but I won't hold my breath😊

I'm sorry. Back pain issues can be so discouraging. I had a fusion l4-s1 this past April.   I know I'm only 10 weeks out and I too have pain every day... it's not bad, I can tolerate it but it does get tiring and discouraging  specially when you expect the surgery to really help . Hope you get some answers!

Take it easy, it can take up to a year to fuse. Are you getting physio?

It's still early days for you so hopefully you will be better soon😊

My doc won't let me start pt until he sees me July 18, when I'm 12 weeks out. ( approx Sx was 4/18). I'm hoping that will help things.

are you feeling better after 1year ?

    I'm six months post op from a L 3 4 5 fusion for spondylolithesis.

I was hoping to be feeling better by now, still unable to do more than 3 hours of anything (standing, sitting, shopping, house cleaing etc) I keep hearing it takes up to a year.
