One year post TAH - my brain has been affected

Hello. I'm one year post TAH and have returned to work part-time. I am struggling though. My Bowen therapist suggested that the trauma to my gut (microbiome) due to removal of the omentum could have had implications relating to a perceived diminution of my "sharpness" at work. I did a little research to see if there were studies to support this and there definitely are lots of studies about the relationship of gut health and brain function, but not specifically about post-surgery effects. Mostly they talk about gut health in terms of diet and messaging to the brain. Has anyone noticed anything like this in her return to work one year post surgery? Of course, there can be many reasons for not being "sharp" at work including anxiety about cancer returning etc.
