Ongoing issue the last couple of weeks, is this Balantis, Friction Burn or something else?

Hello, need some advice on what this can be. My wife had a yeast infection about 3 weeks ago and during the same time, I notice a couple of spots on the shaft of my penis. Two areas seem to have a small rash. I initially thought it was a friction burn and used some Triple antibiotic. After my wife got confirmation of her yeast infection, I thought i may have gotten a yeast infection myself. She is now doing much better but i cant seem to get rid of these spots. For the last few days, Ive been using Clotrimazole and it seems to be helping but after sex, those areas get so inflamed. Is this normal or can i have something else? It doesn't hurt when i go to the bathroom or have any penis discharge. Any help would be appreciated.

Ive included a picture of how it looks right after sex. After about an hour, the swelling goes down and looks normal.

Thanks Again

I think this could well be Penile Lymphocele - it would fit that it occurs right after sex - do a search for a full explanation. In most of the cases I have seen it takes between a matter of days and weeks for the swelling to reduce.

The other possibility I can think of is that you have complications, and I am presuming you are circumcised, due to the way in which the circumcision was conducted and has damaged the inner part of the penis in the area. For this, or if you have the issue ongoing, you would need to see a Urologist .....

Thanks for your feedback. This just started occuring recently after my wifes yeast infection. Before I never has any issues with the glands. Ive been treating it now with clotrimazole and restrained from having sex. Here is a picture with it not swollen.image

    Dear john,

I'm not exactly sure which 'spots' you're referring to, but your account suggests that these spots/symptoms are aggravated by sex with a partner who's been treated for candida. Is this correct?

I suggest you try a different cream instead of simply persevering with Canesten/clotrimazole. Ask your doctor/chemist/drugstore for Daktacort cream or ointment. Daktacort contains miconazole (an antifugal) plus 1% hydrocortisone and this component is more effective at clearing spots and rashes caused by candidal sensitivity or allergy than simply applying an antifungal.

BTW, if this works but you keep getting a flare up of the spots soon after sex, it's often an indication that your partner's thrush hasn't completely cleared. So she'll probably need to be re-treated.

    Rgds,

    Adhari.

I wanted to get to feedback and provide an update on my condition. Used some anti fungal cream for about 2 weeks and after stopped using any cream. So far it looks better but my skin has been peeling where the issue was. Also the skin that healed, it seems to be darker and a bit more sensitive. I havent had any sexual contact to prevent inflamation but I'm worried once the skin peels off, the skin will be sensitive and continue to have issues. Here is how it looks now. What do you think? Does it look like its healing or can I be dealing with another issue?
