Ongoing pain, back, hip, groin and leg

hi.

ive been battling some ongoing pain for months now. It could be more than one issue but the pain is in my left lower back, left lower abdomen going down my groin and to my leg. The pain seems to be made worse when sitting.

i have had a ct on my back and ultrasound on my abdomen where 2 x inguinal hernia (left and right sides) were found. dr advised the pain was from hernia and as such i have proceeded to have mesh hernia repair surgery. i am now a month after surgery and mostly recovered from surgery (some limited specific pain and swollen) but i have found that the initial pain has not been resolved.

im seeking advice on what else this could be and treatment. im taking a guess that this could be nerve related? Drs have advised to come back in in a few weeks if pain doesn't stop but i guess im worried that ill end up with additional surgery which will not resolve the issue.

any advice on things i could try to determine the issue would be appreciated so that i can go back to Dr informed.

thanks
