Online pharmacy provision for GAD

Hi there - I sometimes take lorazepam to help with sleep and anxiety and it works wonders. I was diagnosed with GAD two years ago but my GP won't prescribe it to me which is very frustrating as I take it responsibly. Do online pharmacies prescribe it with out a prescription? Often my mental health is made ten times worse through lack of sleep 😦

They are very tepid with Benzodiazepines. Even though my last prescription for Diazepam was last year, when I rang up for another 10 2mg tablets (10 lasted me 8 months since I only take them when my anxiety is unbearable) they always give me a discussion about how they don't want to prescribe me it but will "just this once"

I then need to listen for the 5th or so time about the addictiveness and to only take it as stated on the leaflet. I think the history of benzodiazepines in the 80s and 90s influence this tepidity.

To answer your second question I wouldn't personally recommend online pharmacies especially for controlled substances like benzodiazepines. You are best to go to your doctor and explain your responsibility with medication. So long as you do not take it daily for long periods (I would say once a fortnight is sensible) then I do not see an issue. My doctor was giving me 15 2mg diazepam each month for 3 month and I never got addicted or dependent. My psychiatrist on the other hand hated the idea of giving me them and dropped my next lot to just 10 tablets...

It depends how dangerous and strong the drug is. The higher the risk of problems the more likely that a person will not be able to buy it without a prescription. In any event you should speak to your doctor first.
