Hope all is well Julie. Don't worry if you feel like you've been kicked in the backside by an elephant tomorrow. It's amazing how quickly you start to recover. I was walking withiut sticks after 2 weeks and now at 8 weeks am doing most things including driving and gym. Take things slowly, walk a lot and do your exercises. Good luck.

Thats brilliant for you,ive been up and about 3 times now but had to have liquid morphine at 1am ,you are right it does feel like an elephant kicked me up the backend lol, think it's keeping the pain relief topped up ,having a xray soon and physio this morn so should be good and im so glad I had it done, and looking forward to getting better for the future.good luck to yourself and a happy recovery😁👍

Great news, Julie. Little tip for getting your leg in and out of bed. Take a belt, preferably a dressing goen cord as it's softer and easier to manage, hook it under your foot and lift the leg as you get into bed. It makes it much easier. Try and ditch the codeine as soon as you can as it makes you constipated which is unpleasant when you're dealing with recovery. Hope things continue to go well for you.

Thanks Judith thats what my partner said and the nurses did say it would help with being able to complete the exercises, and not to let the pain get a grip. It wasn't to bad this morning but as the days gone on it seems to be a little more intense but overall feel ok apart from stiffness.

I had to be at the hospital at 7.00am, went to theatre at mid day. I expect you have to shower with the horrid bactetial soap tonight, then again tomorrow at the hospital, well I had too.
You will not need it as you will be fine but good luck for tomorrow. 🌻😊
