Onset of acute dyspnea
Posted , 3 users are following.
I'm a 63 year old male with no major health problems other than overweight and sleep apnea. I've been using my CPAP machine for years, without any problems. Several days ago, I began having shortness of breath, all the signs of Dyspnea. As it's progressed over the days, I now find myself unable to lay down to sleep and breathe at the same time. I saw my doctor today and she didn't have any answers. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Are you having any other symptoms?

To answer your question... No, no other symptoms.
As mysteriously as it came on, it began to subside. Last night I was finally able to sleep. I used my inhalers as usual and by late afternoon, my symptoms began to settle down. As of this morning, there are still minor sensations of shortness of breath, but not nearly as it was the past 3 days. I'm stumped as to why it began and stopped. Just passing through, I guess. Thanks!!!

Maybe you had an allergic reaction to something.
