Hi Carolyn
I'm 53 and my full abdominal hysterectomy everything removed including cervix last August. I'm on HRT and have had no problems at all.I certainly feel much better being on it.
It's a difficult decision to make but its helping me.
Take Care x

thank you, my concern is that my Mother & Aunty have both had breast cancer so HRT may not be an option.

Hi Carolyn
I am 47 and had total hysterectomy with ovaries etc removed in September. I have some health issues which meant HRT would be higher risk so I decided to wait and see how my menopause symptoms were before starting it. So far, apart from a few hot flushes and an occasional emotional day I have not experienced sudden menopause symptoms. I even questioned whether they had actually removed my ovaries! As yet I havent felt the need to start HRT. Fingers crossed things will stay like this!
Everyone is different, whatever you decide is not set in stone. Good luck x
