    Hi Carolyn

I'm 53 and my full abdominal hysterectomy everything removed including cervix last August. I'm on HRT and have had no problems at all. I certainly feel much better being on it.

It's a difficult decision to make but its helping me.

    Take Care x

    Hi Carolyn

I am 47 and had total hysterectomy with ovaries etc removed in September. I have some health issues which meant HRT would be higher risk so I decided to wait and see how my menopause symptoms were before starting it. So far, apart from a few hot flushes and an occasional emotional day I have not experienced sudden menopause symptoms. I even questioned whether they had actually removed my ovaries! As yet I havent felt the need to start HRT. Fingers crossed things will stay like this!

Everyone is different, whatever you decide is not set in stone. Good luck x
