can i ask u what type of lateral internal sphincterotomy did you undergo? open/closed lateral internal sphincterotomy?and did you sit or squat when you were having bowel movement after the surgery??

Hi Izaish,
I had a closed one on end of March of this year. Unfortunately I am still dealing with pain. I've since had 2 rounds of botox and using every cream/ointment I've been prescribed but that darn fissure hasn't heal completely. I just on toilet. It still hurts with BM's and pain lingers anywhere from 4 hours to all day but pain is tolerable not like before surgery. I am contiplating having a fissurectomy along with removal of sentinel skin tags which I am apparently growing like crazy according to the surgeon. However, I am afraid to have another surgery. Afraid it won't help me and I will be in more pain than what I have now. What about you, how are your doing?

I’m in the same condition as you. Did second Botox help you? I’m going again 5 weeks after surgery next week!!

before i had the surgery i was healed but not fully..it was on and off..what i did were i applied sudocream and using virgin coconut oil for sitz bath and it worked! but sometimes when i craved for food i forgot to take care of my healty diets so the fissure came back..so i decided to do the surgery..just to let you know before i had the surgery i was healed but i didn’t want it to come back again and again..the doctor said that he could see the fissure which was almost heal but the there was possibility to comeback..so i did the surgery wishing that the fissure will go forever..after the surgery,the fissure reopened..the first 3 days i had pain during and after bm..but that didnt last long..i only took the painkillers for 2 days after the surgery..but yesterday i had constipated and had hard stool and the pain was unbearable for the whole day from the fissure and the wound..so i decided to take a painkiller..and today’s morning i have 3 times bm which is i have pain around 20minutes something..and i wish the pain will go forever and i will heal completely..
