My cousin in Pennsylvania went to Temple Hospital in Philadelphia for Dr Daniel Eun to have a "Robotic-Assisted Simple Prostatectomy for BPH". He (like me) had a really large prostate and serious blockage issues. For the surgery, they used laparoscopic probes and other tools through small incisions in the abdomen, 5 in total if I remember correctly. My cousin is very happy with the results but he always talks about how the recovery was very painful/uncomfortable, taking a long time. I am not sure how they rebuild the urinary path if the remove a lot of tissue from the prostate.
