Here is my story so far,

Almost two weeks ago this sunday, I was sexually active with a familiar partner I have been on and off with for a year now. It had been almost five months since I've had intercourse with anyone, he is quite large so naturally I felt some pain afterwards. I felt bareable pain upon urination because there was a slight tear from him being large and it having been so long. Anyways, a day or so later I was noticing an excessive amount of discharge, almost watery. I wasnt sure if this was my vaginas way of cleaning itself out (I had just ended my period) but I was constantly wiping and making myself sore, so I decided to avoid changing my underwear a million times while I was out and about, to use tampons for the discharge. I was doing so for a few days, taking them out was causing me some pain because they were dry, I noticed some rawness from doing so, so I stopped. Not to mention these were scented tampons I bought by mistake. On the friday I went to the walk in clinic, I work in health care and all my residents were very sick all week with bronchitis, pneumonia, I wanted to be safe. I have had pneumonia before so to be safe the doctor perscribed me Biaxin. I took it for one day and stopped because it was making me feel nauseous and made my mouth taste like metal. A day after this, almost a week after intercourse, I noticed sores on my vulva, they were painful upon urination, not itchy what so ever, but very uncomfortable. I went to my doctor for a pap test and told him about it, he looked and said "looks like herpes to me." He did cultues and the pap and perscribed me Valtrex and Tylenol 2 for the pain. My partner says hes never had an std in his life. I've been searching the internet non stop for the past five days trying to think of any other thing this could be. Allergic reaction? Severe yeast infection? ANYTHING. Im currently awaiting results from the cultures praying this is not what he says he thinks it is....

It sounds like herpes, i had pain upon urination, disharge and felt sore a few days before blisters appeared. So it seems your having similar symptoms. But if they took a swab of your sores you should find out soon enough if it is herpes or not. You should ask your partner to get tested as well

Oh, well initially i thought i was sore from the sex too, then two days later my body ached then a day later i had discharge and pain when peeing. At first i thought i had a UTI.

Mine never itched actually they only hurt when i peed or made certain movements.

You may very well be right, theres a chance I do have it. Im just trying to rule out other things too. I've read of people being misdiagnosed and I'm kinda crossing my fingers its not that. I have had a UTI before, the pain from urinating is only from the urine passing over the sores, but not the pain felt like UTI pain. I put my vagina through a lot that week with sex, and tampons on an off my period, wiping constantly, using vaginal wipes as well.

Ooh, if the pain is coming from urine passing over the sores it sounds like it MAY be herpes. But best to wait out you results to see if it is and what type you have. And if you hadnt been sexually active before this partner then it seems like it could only have been him. He really should go get himself tested. Btw Ive read on this site that to help with the pain when urinating to use a plastic water bottle to squirt water down there while you are peeing.

Have you had sex with anyone else besides him ??

It's does sound like what I went through ... Like mine was hidden and came out whenever I had got my nail chemical burn ...

Did he get a test , heck he might not even know he has it ... It can stay dominate for the longest Especially in men . They can go years without showing any signs of anything
