Opinions and thoughts regarding herpes cure idea?

I’ve posted this in the herpes section but haven’t had any luck getting a response so I’m hopeful that I might get some thoughts here.

I recently been diagnosed with oral herpes and could possibly be dealing with genital herpes as well. Waiting for the 3 month mark before testing. Anyway as anyone that is afraid of herpes or has herpes we tend to look online for answers and cures. And often find videos as well as some postings regarding a cure for herpes. Most of these people claim that the body can heal itself from herpes but you need to give it what it needs in order to fight back. Ultimately a person would have to go through a detox or cleanse. To get rid of any impurities and metals that we accumulated in our systems. Then comes the long part of healthy raw eating. With eliminating anything that would feed the virus. And while doing this giving your body oils and herbs that kill the virus such as oregano oil, olive leaf extract, AHCC, coloidal silver, black seed oil, garlic, and various other things that are anti viral. Making it toxic for the virus to stay in your body. And you would have to this from 6 months up to a year of this strict regimen. At the end of this you are suppose to be virus free. You will still test positive when doing the antibody test because you will always have those in your body but if you take test that actually looks for the virus dna that you should come out negative. So these have been my findings.. And I’m curious if anyone has ever tried doing this and had success or even failure? Or Just let me know what you think. It’s a long shot but one I’m willing to take if it means being cured.

Hi Fred. This is not related to what you're asking, But, do u mind if I ask how u got herpes like is it because your partner had it or what?

I don’t frankly understand your question? Are you asking to how I got herpes? Or how is it transmitted? I mean if we are talking regarding genital herpes then it would be safe to assume that  someone gave it to you.

Sorry, but I'm highly sceptical of most of the things you suggest.  Right now, there is no cure for herpes, but that doesn't stop people from trying to make money pretending they have a cure.

I understand that there would be skepticism. Specially when you’re constantly being told that there is no cure for herpes. But it definitely doesn’t make it impossible for their to be one. When it comes to virus I’m aware the reason why we can’t get rid of it to put it plainly is that it hides otherwise it would be treatable as any other cureables STDs. So the approach is to make it inhabitable for the virus to not be able to survive within the human body.  Like I’ve said I know it’s long shot and could be expensive since I know going through the herbalist and organic way can be costly. So my question now to you is what is your reasos to your skepticism regarding this approach?

If there were a cure for herpes, then medical researchers would be all over it as they'd make billions.  Doctors, researchers, and politicians and their families get herpes too, so it's not like they'd try to cover it up.

Anyone can set up a website or a blog and sell costly herbal and organic remedies, and maybe they sometimes believe in it themselves, but almost all of them look to me like they're more interested in making money than curing anyone.  I'd definitely search Quackwatch for any companies or proposed cures before sending money or trying the suggested remedy.
