Optician

I went to see my optician yesterday for a routine eye test, eyesight was fine, no change from two years ago.  I told her my blepharitis story, she said that she could see some slight evidence but nothing serious, a very different story to when I first saw my doc with big red swollen eyelids.  My self found treatment plan does work, for me at least.

I use a shampoo called 'Capasal', available on prescription or Amazon.  I have to shower every morning without fail or my eyes will crust up.  Wash hair and eyes, brows and lashes.

This stuff that you get near your eyes doesn't irritate them? Dena

No, no need to scrub them, just close and massage gently.  When rinsing use a squeegy action with your fingertips to wipe away the suds under the shower.

Bad news today.  This morning I changed my routine, I have received a new fancy shaving kit that recommended showering first then using the supplied shaving gel (I normally use Nivea foam), shaving, rinse off with cool water then applying the supplied balm, (I don't normally use a balm).  Tonight as I write this my eyes are agony, I have to rub them to try and relieve the soreness, is this co-incidence? I don't know for sure but tomorrow I shall go back to my old routine and let you guys know what happens.

Yeah, if you find something works, you should stick with it.

Good news!!  Today I went back to my old routine, shave first (I used the Nivea foam), shower with Capasal for hairy bits, shower gel for the rest of me, dry off, a dab of the new after shave balm, I have had no problems at all today so I put down yesterdays problems to rinsing shaving foam off of my face after shaving.

Wow, it is amazing how sensitive our eye conditions can be to what seem like minor changes. It is great that you know what works for you and were able to get back on track so quickly.

I look forward to getting to that point myself! Still working on it...
