I chose not to go on Dapsone after Plaquenil and quinacrine did not help. There was constant blood  monitoring with both and I wanted no more of that and the side effects! What has helped me the most is a book, The Autoimmune Solution. I have been on the AIP diet for a year, slowing reintroducing foods. Have a flare up now...must have eaten something I shouldn't have!

maybe had this for 2 months now, but just diagnosed 2 weeks ago.  No problem with smears except once and then hysterectomy 40 years ago.  Yes, lots of skin itching through the years due to allergies, nothing serious though, nor long lasting.  Bought some L-lysine today and will increase the zinc supplement dose, how much is ideal?  Do you have the olp or the skin type?
