I've been on injectable Orencia alone for about 16 months. prior to that I was on Enbrel, injectable methotrexate, Plaquinal and occasional prednisone. it's work GREAT for me, and I really don't notice any side affects. I haven't had to take prednisone at all either. it's the only thing that's worked for me so far. Good luck, I hope it works for you!

Im glad its working for you Im on my third Biologic and am hoping that Orencia starts working for me. But im not sure i can put up with these side effects. Also the fear of the cancer this drug can cause worries me I have had Bowel cancer and i also have CLL/SLL so am at high risk The only safe one for me, which also worked was Rituximab but it pulled my Immunoglobulin levels down too far Im going to try couple weeks not taking it to see if it is the drug causing these symptoms Sorry if ive rambled ha ha but im getting a bit disheartened now. I think sheilding is affecting my mental state now

Y our having problems of nausea. So sorry, I have had many ups and downs with these ra drugs.t Abatacept wasn't one which caused any problems, but did stop being effective. Have learned that without "mop up" DMARD drug taken alongside these biologics (ie methotrexate, Sulphasalazine, or hydroxyemthey seem to become ineffective. If you're so nauseous I would talk to specialist nurse or Rheumatologist as it's just too miserable for you especially right now. Good luck and it will pass . PS don't under estimate the nutritional route too
