Orencia as an alternative to TNF blockers

I had liver complications from both Humira and Enbrel (more severe with Enbrel) so my doc is considering Orencia. She wants to wait until after I see the liver specialist which isn't until February.

For those on Orencia, how do you like it? Any liver issues?

I'm interested to see how others response to your post. My rheumatologist started me on methotrexate and my liver enzymes went up so I had to stop the methotrexate as well as other medication I was on that can hurt the liver. My liver enzymes went back to normal but it was just tested last week and it's elevated again. Have you had damage done to your liver?

Yes, my liver enzymes went up. My AST was 98 and ALT was 135. Not critical, but not good.

Hi.

I have been on Oriencia for a little over a year. I love this drug. Once it started to work all the pain went away.  I still do not have any pain.  Although I have developed a rash and no body seems to know what it is.  I had a biopsy done on one of the bumps and I am waiting to find out what it is.  No liver issues.  Good luck. Wish you the best
