do you have an aircast boot? If it is still hurting you can where that on your holiday? I am almost 5 months out and still using crutches due to pain, but I had complications, one of the bones not healing. I went on vacation after 10 weeks to Europe with all the steep inclines and cobble stone roads, managed to see a lot and keep up with my boot and crutches. I used compression socks and also elevated and iced it whenever I could, I brought some large freezer baggies to put the ice from ice machines in, worked great. Having said that, many people find they are pain free after a few weeks of walking on it if it has healed well! Hope that's the case for you!

    Hi Sandra

The same fracture in March, the same operation. 10 weeks after the op I was walking without any support but had some pain especially in the evening. I went on holidays abroad in August and no problems. Of course everybody recovers at different speed but by the time your holiday starts you will be fine.
