ORIF Update- Bony fragment after surgery: Anyone else have this issue?

I had ORIF surgery 2 weeks ago (bimalleorer fracture between the tibia and fibia), and at my follow-up today, it appeared that everything was on track for healing but there was some concern around a bony fragment in the back of my ankle . They put me in a boot and told me to be non bearing for 4 more weeks (and gave me an exercise to do with my ankle a few times a day). They will continue to monitor the bone fragment but said there is a chance it dissolves. Has anyone else had this issue and did they have to go through another surgery.

I did have to have emergency surgery out of state, so switched surgeons for the recovery.
