Hi all. New to orlistat and due to start in the next few days. Just wondered if it would be safe to drink smoothes instead of meal replacements when on them? I have over 7 stone to lose so any help/advice/support would be much appreciatedĀ wink

Hi, Orlistat works only with the fat you consume, so if you are planning on having a smoothie for a meal, you won't benefit from it as a smoothie contains virtually no fat.

Your Orlistat booklet will tell you how many grams of fat you are allowed per meal, I am allowed 19 and i tend to get close to that for my eve meal however for breakfast and lunch, i only go to around 5. I lost just short of a stone in 6wks when I first started taking them, good luck!

Milk products can cause problems, it really depends on your health system. Smoothies seem to be good because smoothies are usually just fruit.
