I have been taking Orlistat for just over a month and am due to be weighed for the first time tomorrow. I have lost half a stone, is this good or bad?

Thanks Britney! I must confess I am not a massive eater of fat. Only 2.5 more stones before I am at a healthy range although the top end of it.

Hi I. Lost 7lbs in 5 weeks so you have done better than me I don't think I was having enough fat sort of cut it out all together so what I have lost apparently I have done on my own I've added a little fat now so keeping everything crossed I think you have done well good luck xx mags

I don't have a lot of fat in my diet at all, I have not had any of these horrid side effects everyone else talks about but nor have I had dramatic weight loss. I think I posted for advice really as I am not sure I am doing this right at all!

Side effects only come from eating Junk food/ anything over 5g in fat per 100g x

Thanks! I don't eat meat or dairy and any junk I was eating I have stopped pretty much as did not feel that I would be playing the game taking weight loss medication and eating crap!

Thanks Donna, well I guess we both lost weight which is a plus. Have just been calculating properly when I started and it's actually been 28 days. I have been away on holiday in that time so have not been dieting too strictly. Hopefully now I am back and can get on it properly weight loss may improve. The way I look at it if I can lose 1/2 a stone a month in by the end of January 2015 I will have lost the 3 stone I wanted to and needed to to have a healthy BMI!

Maybe I will try that too if that's what a nurse said. The thought of oily accidents terrifies me!
