Orlistat/Xenical - 9lbs in 9 days! :-)

Hello!
I was prescribed Xenical, which is another name for Orlistat, on Thursday (31st July). I started that day, weighing in at 244lbs (17st 4lbs), and today over a week later,I weighed in at 235lbs (16st 7/8lbs), so basically I have lost a good 9lbs!
I couldnt believe it to be honest. The first few days was tough, as some of the foods I was eaten was a little high in fat, and the results could be seen with oil floating on the toilet bowl water. However, something in my brain clicked to say, ok, stay away from fat. So for the last I began a low fat diet and have stuck to it since.
I found myself, and its only a week, be more careful of what I eat. I was big into snacking, and eating junk, crisps, chocs, biscuits, but now I feel that I have no interest in them. I do believe that Xenical/Orlistat does have a pyschological impact on our vision of what we eat, probably arising from the side effects if we indulge on fatty foods.
I am 26 years of age, and feel I found something which is helping me loose the weight which has been having a negative effect on my life.
I am glad to see that most people here are finding positive results too, and to those who are not loosing weight as quick etc, just watch the diet and try to keep meals fat free. For snacks, I would have 2 rice cakes and pour fat free yoghurt on top, they are quite filling and you dont feel depressed after it as you would if it were a bag of crips, which in turn you would feel like another! Yer talking to a pringle fan here, who easily devour a tube at a time!
One question I would like to ask, if there was some here who has been long term on the tablet, how has it been and how much have they lost? Most of discussions here are only starting so it would be good to hear from someone who has been on it long term etc
I want to wish every one the very best in their journey to their ideal weight. It is acheivable and I know sometimes people may feel how can a tablet do this, but I do feel it has helped me big time, so far anyways, but I am hoping that it will help me!
Love to hear from other people, even to have peer support etc
Yours,
John!

im only on day 3, so far no dodgy side effects
I have 3 stone to loose...well really 4 but my goal is 3 by nov 12th (holiday)
I'll do my own weigh in on mon when I go for an early swim
This has defo made me look at packaging im shocked at the fat content of some products so im hoping this will be the discipline I need. I exercise well so its my eating I need to improve
ive also realised all my socialising is around food so yesterday and today I had to be very careful.

I still have plenty to lose and until the last couple of weeks I have found my journey relatively easy. The last few weeks have been more difficult, not that I have returned to the food or portion sizes I ate before but I have found it more difficult.
I need to get my motivation back and continue on my weight loss journey, I am not going back to where I came from. Good luck everybody on the start of your journey to a new lighter you.

The tabs don't work on their own - you do the hard work the tablets do a helping hand and cos of the side effects makes you disciplined to eat correctly
