Osteoarthritis daytrip affect.

Yesterday I travelled by train a four hour journey to visit someone. All the way the journey was comfortable and warm and I wore sensible trainers and warm clothing. The only walking I did was within the train stations as I tried to get to transport connections. Lifts were used where available. I had lots of sitting down rest breaks. During the night I was in severe leg and foot pain. This morning I awoke with what looks like a pointed bone spur on my heel and the swelling on my heel is about three inches. I know I do need a mobility scooter now but am so upset that even a little bit of walking and sitting upright for an entire day can harm my body like this. When I do get my mobility scooter I still will not be wanting to use it for train journeys, etc. Does anybody else have similar experiences ?
